Mini Wooden Black Chalkboard Tag*
Catch the attention of everyone with these adorable and authentic Mini Wooden Chalkboard Tags. These cute tags are made from all natural washed wood and painted a bright beach white, and each one has a real chalkboard set in the center of the frame that can be written on front and back. Use your own chalk, or add personalization and fun messages with the colored chalk provided.
At 3.5"L x 1.8"W the tag is the perfect way to identify place settings at any outdoor themed event. The washed wood frame has the soft, sun-faded look of a shingle that has spent a season near the water, and the black panel inside it takes a name in two seconds and reads from standing height. Two sides means two jobs: a guest's name on the front, a thank-you line or the table number on the back.
Our Mini Wooden Chalkboard Tags are just what every nautical party calls for. Never lose a mate at sea when you tie one of these tags to the back of each chair. The instant your friends set their sights on these they will immediately be taken back to the relaxing days of a long summer at the surf.
For the beach lovers, give them that true ocean cottage feeling by adding one of these as a personalized gift tag to our Beach Tote Bag. The large tote will hold everything it needs for a day of dipping their toes in the cool ocean water.
Let your guests play games of all sorts by allowing them to write their own messages on these fun favors. Children of all ages will be able to create any message they want with the chalk that comes with these wooden tags. Place them in goodie bags at your child's next party and let their friends share in the fun too.
Choose your quantity, one tag for every seat or every goodie bag, and let the handwriting be the personal part.

Care and use
- The frame is all natural washed wood painted a bright beach white, so each tag has its own grain and no two look identical.
- The chalkboard sits in the center of the frame and can be written on front and back, so plan a name for one side and a message or table number for the other.
- Colored chalk is provided with the tags, and your own chalk works on the same surface.
How the Mini Wooden Black Chalkboard Tag is personalized
- Work out your quantity first: one tag for every place setting, every chair back or every goodie bag.
- When the tags arrive, write the names or messages on the chalkboard with the colored chalk provided, or with your own chalk. Both sides of the chalkboard can be written on.
- Set them out on the tables, tie them to chair backs or attach them to gift bags. Orders ship insured by UPS, FedEx or USPS with tracking emailed to you.
Ideas for what to write on the chalkboard
- A guest's first name on the front and the table number on the back.
- A one-word menu label for a buffet or a drinks table: lemonade, punch, cake.
- A short thank-you for coming, so every tag doubles as a note.
- A blank tag at every seat with the chalk beside it, so guests write their own message for the couple.
- The recipient's name when the tag is tied onto a beach tote or a gift bag.

Which one should I choose
The choice is usually between a card you print once and a small board your guests can keep writing on.
| Mini Wooden Black Chalkboard Tag | Choose it when you want a washed-wood tag with a real chalkboard that carries a name on the front and a message on the back, and comes with chalk. |
|---|---|
| Beach Tote Bag with a chalkboard tag attached | Choose this pairing when the favor is the tote itself and the tag is the gift label that names the guest. |
| A printed paper place card | Choose it when the seating is fixed, nothing needs to change on the day and nobody is meant to take the card home. |
For an outdoor or beach table, the chalkboard tag wins: the wording can change up to the last minute and the tag survives the party.
Ordering the Mini Wooden Black Chalkboard Tag for weddings and events
Ordering Mini Wooden Chalkboard Tags for a wedding, a party or a company event starts with the seat count, since most hosts use one tag per place setting or one per goodie bag, and there is no minimum order. Because the wording is written on the chalkboard by hand rather than added in-house, different names on every tag cost nothing extra and can be changed on the day if your seating plan moves. Standard production is 5–10 business days, rush is 3–5 and expedite is 1–3, plus 2–5 days US shipping, and weddings should be ordered 3–6 months ahead so the tags are written and set out without pressure.
