Demitasse Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Spoon Set*
The next time you plan a tea party, look no farther than the Demitasse Tea Cup and Saucer. This simple and classic white porcelain set includes a matching spoon and will add elegance to any decor. This set makes a perfect take-home gift for party-goers, or order multiple sets to fill your china cabinet to enjoy a relaxing party time and time again.
Demitasse means half a cup, and that is exactly the charm of it. At 2.25" wide and 2.1" high on a 4" saucer, the Demitasse Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Spoon Set is small, light and neat in the hand, sized for an espresso, a strong after-dinner coffee or a short pour of tea. The plain white porcelain is the reason it works with everything: gold rims, linen runners, garden florals, a modern black and white table, or whatever your theme turns out to be once the decorating starts.
This teacup is perfect for setting the theme for a baby shower, with guests and the mom to be enjoying stomach calming tea. A bride will enjoy her shower with a brand new set of teacups and saucers to start her future life. Even your little princess will enjoy a birthday party with tea for her and all of her best pals, and porcelain at a child's tea party is what makes the whole thing feel like the real thing.
Add your own tea. No tea party would be whole without some delicious Herbal Tea Bags; after all, what is a tea party without the beverage itself? Set a cup and saucer at each place with a tea bag resting on the saucer and the matching spoon beside it, and the table is done before anyone arrives.
Guests take the set home afterwards, which is the quiet advantage of a favor people actually use. A paper cup goes in the bin on the way out. A white porcelain cup and saucer ends up in a cupboard and comes out again on an ordinary Tuesday morning.

Which one should I choose
Shoppers planning a tea-themed table usually weigh a porcelain cup and saucer against a tea favor or disposable cups.
| Demitasse Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Spoon Set | Choose it when the favor should still be in the guest's cupboard next year: real white porcelain with a matching saucer and spoon. |
|---|---|
| Herbal Tea Bags | Choose them when you want the tea itself as the favor, or add them to the saucer so each guest takes home the cup and something to brew in it. |
| Disposable cups for the party | Choose them when nothing needs to be kept; they cost you the look of the table and go in the bin on the way out. |
For a shower or tea party favor that is used long after the day, the porcelain set is the pick, with tea bags added on the saucer.

Questions shoppers ask about the Demitasse Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Spoon Set
What comes in the Demitasse Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Spoon Set?
A demitasse cup, a matching saucer and a matching spoon. Tea and coffee are not included, so add your own.
How big is the cup and the saucer?
The cup is 2.25"W x 2.1"H and the saucer is 4" in diameter. Demitasse means half a cup, so it is sized for espresso, a short coffee or a small pour of tea rather than a full mug.
What is the set made of?
White porcelain. It is simple and classic, which is why it will add elegance to any decor and works with any color scheme you have chosen.
Is the set sold individually or in multiples?
The listing is for one cup, saucer and spoon set. Order multiple sets to fill your china cabinet, or one per guest as a take-home gift for party-goers.
Can the cup or saucer be personalized with names or a date?
No. This set is not personalized; it ships in plain white porcelain as pictured. Many shoppers add a printed tag or a card of their own at the table instead.
Does it come with tea?
No. Add your own tea. No tea party would be whole without some delicious Herbal Tea Bags, which are sold separately and sit neatly on the saucer.
Is it suitable for a child's tea party?
Yes. Even your little princess will enjoy a birthday party with tea for her and all of her best pals, and real porcelain is what makes a child's tea party feel like the real thing. It is porcelain, so supervise younger children.
Can I use it for espresso rather than tea?
Yes. A demitasse is the traditional espresso size, so the set works for espresso and strong after-dinner coffee as well as tea.
Is there a minimum order for the demitasse sets?
No. Order a single set or enough for every guest at a shower or a wedding. For bulk pricing, please contact [email protected].
How long does it take to receive the sets?
Standard production is 5 to 10 business days, then 2 to 5 days shipping in the US. Rush (3 to 5 days) and expedite (1 to 3 days) are available at checkout. For a wedding, order 3 to 6 months ahead when you can.
Do you ship the tea cup sets outside the United States?
International shipping is by request; the shopping cart only calculates US shipping and international orders cannot be rushed. Email [email protected] for a quote.
Can I return demitasse sets if I order too many?
The set is not personalized, so it can be returned within 14 days. Personalized items elsewhere on the site are made to order and final sale unless defective.
