The “transparency” syndrome- Is really what you see is what you get?

What you see is what you get.  In today’s lingo, we term it “transparency”, especially in the digital space, this term is valued highly.  Being transparent does have its benefits such as knowing what you are getting at face value, but this face value can also trap us from getting the full benefit of what a  person can offer. Just like good wine, the taste becomes more complex, denser and full of depth when it is aged for a specific time and paired with specific food. If we were just to judge wine on it’s simple characters, you would not know the depth of its value.  Technically wine would be no different than drinking grape juice.

Just like good wine, we need to be open to the idea that people are not all created the same way.  We cannot judge each other based on face value. Each one of us are shaped and flawed purposefully so that our best work can be extracted and made complete from these flaws.  In a world where everything is being controlled by AI, we don’t leave room for errors. It is through these trials and errors where true genius can be created. Learning to keep a balance between transparency and mystery makes for more “Aha moments” in life.  With the onset of more “Aha moments” we get to be more insightful in solving more complex problems and issues faster and giving what may appear simple and flawed a chance to be something valuable in the future.  We have to learn to be instruments of peace, and love in order to find true transparency that doesn’t hold anything back but delivers truth that goes beyond different industries and cultures.
