Beach or Bust

As I got to thinking about the detailed and meticulous process of preparing for my future wedding, I started reminiscing about all the previous weddings I attended the past year for my friends. The daunting task of choosing decorations, invitations, floral details, food selections, and locations suddenly became too overwhelming for me.

Inundated with a flood of information, I settled myself and started watching some YouTube clips of wedding ceremonies. What I wanted more than anything else in my wedding was for us to be officiated in a scenic location with close friends and family members.

Looking back at my friend’s wedding locations, one thing I appreciated was how romantic their setting was, whether it was at a well- known golf resort or a cliff overlooking the sea. Growing up in sunny Southern California, anything coastal related appeased me.

One of the YouTube clips that caught my attention was the wedding ceremony that took place on the beach side with the theme being everything beach related.  What really caught my eye amongst the backdrop was the adorable beach wedding favors they had adorning the tables. It looked like they had these metal crabs salt & pepper shakers and real starfishes with name tags attached.

With the gentle sea breeze rolling across the sand, the soft waves coming together with the shoreline, and the slight hue of orange from the sunset, the overall ambiance of their wedding brought tears to my eyes. Again, this coming from a guy!

I’m sure my future wife will probably end up making all of the decisions when it comes to our wedding, but I hope my two cents goes a long way so that I can stop crying like a little girl. Cheers.
