In 21 chapters, she explores the wedding experience with a unique eye toward restoring the sacred – from suggesting brides ask people to bless their engagement rings instead of just flashing them and showing them off, to taking your wedding vows with you on the honeymoon and repeating them each night. She offers sage, easy to follow advice on how to get through each part of the experience with preparation, poise and a good sense of humor.

Having married hundreds of couples in love in unique interfaith and non-denominational wedding ceremonies, she generously shares her experiences and ideas, as well as comments from many of the brides she has married and counseled through the wedding experience. Brockway became a bride herself while writing the book and shares her unique experience.
